Dr. Leslie Sanders
Dr. Leslie Sanders, DVM is a compassionate veterinarian providing in-home pet euthanasia and hospice care to families throughout Holly Springs, Raleigh, and the greater Triangle area of North Carolina. Originally from New Jersey, she discovered her passion for veterinary medicine at a young age and pursued her dream of becoming a veterinarian with dedication and heart.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University before continuing her veterinary education at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Sanders completed her clinical training during her final year at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating with a strong foundation in small-animal and compassionate care.
In 2016, Dr. Sanders relocated with her family to Holly Springs, where she has continued her veterinary career while building meaningful relationships within the local community.
Her commitment to end-of-life care is deeply personal. While away at college, Dr. Sanders experienced the loss of her childhood cat, Coke, without the opportunity to be present or properly grieve. That difficult experience shaped her lifelong promise to ensure that families never have to face these moments alone.
More recently, she endured the loss of her beloved cats, Skitty and Jezabelle, who had been her companions for much of her adult life. Being present for their final moments and supported by compassionate veterinarians reinforced her dedication to providing gentle, respectful, and emotionally supportive in-home euthanasia and hospice services.
Dr. Sanders is passionate about helping families say goodbye in the comfort and privacy of home. She believes in creating a calm, peaceful environment where pets feel safe and loved, and where families feel heard, supported, and cared for throughout every step of the process.
She is honored to be part of the Azure Holland team and to serve families across North Carolina with empathy, professionalism, and presence.
Outside of work, Dr. Sanders enjoys spending time with her husband, three sons, and her cat, Elsa. She loves traveling, baking, and is a devoted fan of the Philadelphia Flyers.
