Betsy Williams, DVM
In-Home Pet Euthanasia & End-of-Life Care in Durham, NC
Dr. Betsy Williams grew up in rural Pennsylvania, dreaming of becoming a veterinarian and saving animals. Her education brought her to North Carolina for what she thought would be a few years. More than 25 years later, she is grateful to call it home.
A 2012 graduate of North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Williams has cared for cats and dogs throughout the Triangle. Over the years, she has come to appreciate that helping an animal find comfort and peace at the end of life is among the most meaningful care a veterinarian can provide.
Based in Durham, Dr. Williams provides in-home pet euthanasia with Azure Holland, supporting families through difficult decisions and helping beloved companions pass peacefully in familiar surroundings. She treasures the stories families share—how their pet came into their lives, the little habits that made them special, and the years of companionship that followed.
Her lifelong love of animals extends beyond cats and dogs, with a particular fondness for guinea pigs and Icelandic horses. That same affection and respect for each animal shapes the care she brings to every family.
