Kristen Lacy, C-IAYT, YT
End-of-Life Care Support & Practice Manager
Kristen brings a calm, compassionate presence to families navigating the uncertainty of a beloved pet’s decline. Through scheduled Supportive Quality of Life Calls, she offers families dedicated time to talk through what they are seeing at home, consider changes in comfort and quality of life, and feel more prepared for the decisions and conversations ahead.
These conversations are not about being told when it is time. Kristen helps families slow things down, recognize patterns and meaningful changes, and put words to concerns that can be difficult to sort through when caring for a pet every day. She may use the Azure Holland quality-of-life guide and reflective questions, but often the most important part of the conversation is simply creating space for families to talk openly about what has changed, what their pet still enjoys, what has become harder, and what they are most worried about.
Her approach is centered on helping families feel informed, grounded, and supported while keeping the decision where it belongs—with the family and their veterinary team. Whether the next step is continued monitoring, a conversation with their veterinarian, planning ahead, or preparing for goodbye, Kristen’s goal is to help families move forward with greater clarity and fewer unanswered questions.
Before joining Azure Holland, Kristen spent nearly two decades teaching yoga and working with both students and developing skilled teachers. As a Certified Yoga Therapist with more than 15,000 hours of teaching experience, she developed a deep understanding of observation, communication, and meeting individuals where they are. Her background also includes EMT experience and caring for and rehabilitating large birds, experiences that strengthened the calm, adaptability, and intuition she now brings to veterinary end-of-life care.
As Practice Manager, Kristen also helps support the team and the thoughtful systems behind the care Azure Holland provides.
Outside of Azure Holland, Kristen is happiest on the coast with her husband and their French Bulldog, Queen Vida. Time by the water remains one of her favorite ways to recharge.
