Dr. Holland and her staff showed a level of compassion and humanity that my husband and I will never forget.

A few months ago, we had to make the hardest decision we have ever faced. For almost 11 years, Lukus was my best friend and truly my everything. His health declined so rapidly that I struggled to comprehend what was happening and how to do right by him.
What I did know, without any doubt, was that Lukus did not deserve to suffer. I also knew that if he could have told me himself, he would have wanted to pass peacefully, in the comfort of his king-size bed, surrounded by love.

It has taken me awhile to gather my emotions enough to write this, but I felt it was important that you know how deeply grateful we are for the compassion and support Dr Holland and her staff showed us. From the very first text message to Lukus’s final moments, your kindness, patience, and understanding meant more to us than I can put into words.

Thank you for treating Lukus with such dignity and for supporting me through an incredibly painful goodbye.
We will always be grateful for the care you gave my best friend and for the humanity you showed us when we needed it most.
