Dr. Holland and her staff showed a level of compassion and humanity that my husband and I will never forget. A few months ago, we had to make the hardest decision we have ever faced. For almost 11 years, Lukus was my best friend and truly my everything. His health declined so rapidly that I struggled to comprehend what was happening and how to do right by him. What I did know, without any doubt, was that Lukus did not deserve to suffer. I also knew that if he could have told me himself, he would have wanted to pass peacefully, in the comfort of his king-size bed, surrounded by love. It has taken me awhile to gather my emotions enough to write this, but I felt it was important that you know how deeply grateful we are for the compassion and support Dr Holland and her staff showed us. From the very first text message to Lukus’s final moments, your kindness, patience, and understanding meant more to us than I can put into words. Thank you for treating Lukus with such dignity and for supporting me through an incredibly painful goodbye. We will always be grateful for the care you gave my best friend and for the humanity you showed us when we needed it most.
I can not thank Azure Holland Veterinary Service enough for offering my dog - my sweet Bella - such a peaceful, quiet, loving goodbye. The decision to put your dog to sleep is overwhelming, but being in their home, on their bed or blanket, surrounded by those they love, is comforting. Our vet Dr. Janelle explained exactly what was going on and although I was devastated, it was the most lovely way to say goodbye to my best friend. Dr. Janelle also followed up with me to see how I was doing afterwards. I would always recommend this mobile vet and again, thank you for giving my Bella the best final care.
Dr. Janelle made the very difficult decision of having to euthanize our beloved canine companion as comfortable as possible. Dr. Holland has a magical way of making such an emotional and heart wrenching experience become a beautiful one filled with wonderful memories. Without having met Dr. Holland previously, I had some anxiety over if this was the correct choice, or if proceeding with euthanasia at the vet hospital, where my pet knew the staff, was a better option. I can, with certainty, say that not only being able to provide my pet peace at home where he was comfortable, but also that Dr. Holland was the right choice. Her genuine care for me as well as my pet were evident during the whole process.
Letting go of a beloved pet is truly heartbreaking and knowing the time is right for them to move on is extremely difficult. Dr. Leslie Sanders with Azure Holland was truly amazing when the time came for our loving Biscuit. She came to us and helped each of us through the entire process, explaining the steps, allowing us to be a part of it, or not, as it was too hard for our youngest. Her presence was very soothing and she performed all the actions with dignity and grace. Biscuit did not suffer and I am forever grateful to her.
